"Sex is more than an act of pleasure, it’s the ability to be able to feel so close to a person, so connected, so comfortable that it’s almost breathtaking to the point you feel you can’t take it. And at this moment you’re a part of them."

In Sydney and taking public transport? Here’s how you can help.
The Sydney siege has brought the racists out in packs. There are people who are too terrified to go home on public transport because they ‘look Muslim’ or are wearing religious attire. They do not want, nor deserve, to be the target of racial harassment and abuse.
If you are taking public transport tonight, please go on Twitter and post your bus, train or ferry with the hashtag #illridewithyou. If someone needs an ally, you can be there to help them get home safely.
the islamist linked hostage crisis in sydney is on the front page of every mainstream western news site (BBC, CNN, Guardian etc.)
but where was the international coverage when muslims were being attacked daily all around australia?
when hijabis were being physically and verbally assaulted on the streets and on public transport?
when muslim men were being racially profiled by politicians and the police?
when Masjids, homes and schools were being vandalised by fascists and neo-Nazis?
it’s also so convenient for people to blame religion especially the Islamic faith
lots of horrible things have been done in the name of many religions
look at the countess holy wars documented throughout history
or the Klu Klux Klan
they were Christian even though virtually every denomination denounced their actions
no different with extremists who happen to be of Islamic faith
religious leaders within countless Muslim communities across Australia have all spoken out about how they do not accept these actions and believe they are wrong
don’t let sensationalist media coverage play on your fears
i mean, it’s so easy to be judgemental or ignorant
and so many people are so quick to jump on that band wagon
it’s harder to step back and think about it
don’t take the easy route
one individual (possibly two individuals) don’t represent an entire religion, ethnicity or agenda.
ugh today
I want to work within the media
but I also hate the media
i.e. its response to today’s events (read: zero fact checking/shit journalism)
bit of georgia logic for ya
